So when did it start?
… when I was at college.
I went on my first visit to London and looked around 7 different venues – I was fascinated by the facilities they all had and how/ who would or could use them.
Fast forwarding a year or two, I worked in hotels for 3 years in operations then moved to the agency world and found the perfect role in venue finding and event logistics.
Thankfully I’m still doing the job I love and even better – I’m now doing it here at Top Banana Venues!
I love researching and looking for new, different venues. I read venue mags in the bath and I’m always researching on the internet.
I also get to work with some fabulous people in the industry who keep me up to date with all the news … and the gossip of course. The hospitality industry is pretty incestuous and there’s always loads of gossip……….!!
I’ve been involved in some great events – from a VIP champagne picnic for 6 at Glyndebourne to a graduate event for over 2000 at Disneyland Paris and pretty much everything in between.
I like to make sure every venue I pick fits, not just the way it looks but the vibe and feel too.
Basically I love looking for the unusual, the unique and the quirky…
so come on challenge me……………………..
